Honda
takes ATV Safety very seriously
and so should you.
Some Important ATV safety guidelines:
In the likely event of an accident, make
sure you ATV is inspected before you use it again.
Regular Maintenance helps prevent irregularities
Check the oil level daily.
Check condition of tyres (min. tread depth 4mm) and ensure correct inflation
pressure.
Check coolant level where appropriate
Check for fuel leaks
Check brake fluid level and brake lever tension
Check steering for unobstructed lock to lock movement
Check wheel axle nuts are secure
Check all exposed parts are free from dirt and debris
Check emergency stop switch is operating
Always wear a suitable helmet goggles/visor/glasses and snag-proof clothing.
If your ATV has no differential, or you lock the differential, remember the
vehicle will naturally travel in a straight line even when the wheels are
turned.
NEVER carry passengers
Always keep both feet on the footrests
When travelling on a slope always keep you weight uphill
Ride smoothly avoiding sudden increases
in speed
Always check the terrain for danger or hidden obstacles
Do not overload the vehicle or attempt to tow items beyond the designated
guidelines.
